As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, Miami is proud to serve as the host region for the 2026 G20, being convened by President Trump in Doral, Florida this December.  
 
This global event will convene political and financial leaders from over 30 of the world’s major advanced and emerging economies to discuss and coordinate economic policy relating to areas such as innovation, trade, and energy.  
 
FIU and its partners invite you to a fun, dynamic preview event for G20 Miami 2026 here in the nation’s capital.  Learn from US Government officials and G20 country representatives on what to expect this December in Miami.  With a bent towards Innovation and tech, our experts will also relay what the outcomes of recent ministerial meetings mean for collaboration around AI and emerging technologies.

What to expect

G20 Miami 2026

This global economic summit arrives during Miami’s moment—as the region has become the fastest growing tech ecosystem in America and third fastest in the world. The region is ranked among the top 10 in new venture capital activity, with over 1000 companies raising over $16 B US in the past 5 years. AI-focused companies in the Miami metro raised over $1B in 2025 alone and companies like IonQ (NYSE: IONQ), the world’s leading quantum platform company, are collaborating with FIU, to advance a quantum safe network.

Florida International University

FIU, home to over 4,100 students that hail from G20 countries, is a hub for financial expertise, and economic innovation, collaborating with federal agencies on issues relating to sustainable development, disaster risk reduction, tourism, environmental resilience and anti-corruption issues. The university is collaborating to host several G20 global programs in December, helping convene policymakers and business leaders to reimagine transatlantic coordination and cooperation at the nexus of trade, national security, and technology.
